Changing Seasons on Dream Street

Cool nights, crunchy leaves on the ground, and even Christmas tree sightings in store display windows. You know that fall is here and the joys of the many holidays are right around the corner. The designers on Dream Street have been busy creating for this season. We've chosen to focus on some collections that work great for fall, Thanksgiving and other season projects: Mairzy Doats, Cookies-n-Cream, and Mod Posy . We hope you get lot of ideas from these fabulous projects.

Our first project is from Wendy using Mairzy Doats.

Project name - Oh Please, Just One More Day
Designer:Wendy McKee
Collection - Mairzy Doats

Wendy said about her project: I chose two circles for my background instead of the usual square. The size is still 12 by 12 though so will fit into an album. I inked the Dream street letters with brown ink and then added some glossy accents for a different effect. For the butterflies i cut them out of the LamzyDivey paper. To make the centres I rolled up a small triangle and stuck it onto the acrylic butterflies and then added a pin for an effect.

The next project is not limited to Halloween. You can easily take this idea and use it for Thanksgiving. Wouldn't they make adorable place settings at the Thanksgiving dinner table.

Project Name: Pumpkin Tag
Designer: Jamie Harper
Collection: Mod Posey

For a cute gift for that special friend, purchase a small pumpkin and create a gift tag. Cover the tag with your favorite Mod Posey paper, punch out a circle, and cut out a flower. Assemble by layering and add a title for your tag.

Title: Right Now
Designer: Nicole Stark
Collection: Cookies-n-Cream

To create the leaves, Nicole used a dingbat font called ArborisFolium. She printed a few of the leaf styles onto the back of the patterned paper and then cut them out. To give a little dimension she then crumbled them up, added ink, glittered the edges, and used pop dots to adhere them to my layout.

Thanks for stopping by, and check back soon for more fabolous ideas from the Dream Street girls!
